Travel Clinics and non NHS Vaccinations
Most travel requires either compulsory vaccinations or those that are recommended.
Our travel health trained nurses will assist and advise you. It is important to make an initial appointment as early as possible (at least 8 weeks before you travel) as a second appointment may be required with the practice nurse to actually receive initial or a course of vaccinations. The initial appointment will be 20 minutes and a preparatory Travel Risk Assessment Form should be completed, preferably in advance. These are available at the surgery reception.
There is a charge for those items which are not part of the NHS national programme.
The following tariff will apply from July 2014, which is line with recommendations from the profession and in line with local surgeries.
Hepatitis B (Course of 3 injections) - £105 (based on £35 per injection)
Paediatric Hepatitis B - £35.00 per injection
Meningitis ACWY - £45.00 per injection
Meningitis - Meneveo - £65.00 per injection
Rabies (Course of 3 injections) - £150.00 (based on £50 per injection)

Japanese B Encephalitis - £85.00 per injection
Chickenpox (Course of 2 injections) - £200 (based on £100 per injection)
Private Prescription - £10.00
Please note:- All payments must be made prior or at the time of the vaccination being given. Treatment will not be given unless payment has been received.
