Travel Clinics and
non NHS Vaccinations
Most
travel requires either compulsory vaccinations or those that are recommended,
and once again we are initiating designated travel clinics, for advice
and immunisation, and these will be held on a weekly basis on a Thursday
afternoon commencing on 15th January 09.
Our
travel health trained nurses, Debbie and Jane, will assist and advise
you. The initial appointment will be 20 minutes and a preparatory Travel
Risk Assessment Form should be completed, preferably in advance. These
are available at the surgery reception.
There
is a charge for those items which are not part of the NHS national programme.
The
following tariff will apply from 1st January 09, which is line with
recommendations from the profession and in line with local surgeries.
