There are frequent services from Maidenhead to Slough and Reading but in general the stations are not close to Hospitals. 3. Taxis Most local firms will take you to the Hospitals and will often wait a short time if requested. Fares and waiting time charges vary widely so enquire at the time of booking. Taxi Voucher scheme: Pensioners who do not have a car and cannot use public transport can apply to the Town Hall for taxi vouchers. More info >>> 4. Public Transport. Maidenhead Voluntary Service (Maidenhead Volunteer Bureau) Cookham residents can use the MVB but some restrictions apply. Phone: 01628 673937 for information. Monday - Friday 9.30 am to 12.30 Transport charge at cost. Cookham Voluntary Services: CVS is
designed to provide help with transport for the residents of the Cookhams
who have diffficulty in using public transport. It is run entirely by
volunteers who can claim mileage for using their vehicle. This information has been
