A reminder to patients that all patients have been allocated a named accountable GP.
Many patients have been informed of their named GP during contact with the practice, those who have not yet been officially informed, please ask when you are next in the practice.
Please note that patients may book appointments with any GP subject to their availability and are not limited to their allocated one. Much of the role of the allocated named GP is to ensure incoming reports, prescription requests and documents relating to the patients on their list, are dealt with promptly and that there is clear accountability for doing this important role.
As many patients will be aware of we had a visit from CQC on 11th March 2015, which was very kindly supported by our PPG panel. Overall the practice received a ‘good’ rating of which we were very pleased. There were just 2 areas which we need to work on to improve upon. At Cookham we always strive to get better and give our patients the very best of care, so we are going to take the recommendations of the CQC and use them to improve even further. Anyone wishing to read the full report can do so by clicking here Cookham CQC Report. We had a further inspection in February 2016 which confirmed that the improvements they had suggested had been completed and were now rated as GOOD.
