Flu Clinic

Several seasonal flu clinics have now been held throughout October and November, and are now being offered within surgery times.
Swine flu vaccine is different from the seasonal flu vaccination that is offered every year. The seasonal flu vaccine does not protect against swine flu. If you are usually advised to have the seasonal flu vaccination, you should have it. You may be offered the flu vaccine as well. Please ask at reception and they will be able to advise you.

Midwife Clinic / Maternity Care / Preconception Care
Prior to having a family we would advise you and your partner to have a lifestyle check. We can give advice on diet and for women to be checked for immunity to German Measles. We also try to help a couple if they are unable to conceive. Ante-natal care is provided by the doctors on an individual basis so as to maximise continuity of care, however the Midwife also runs a Clinic every Thursday morning.

The midwife and health visitors run a six week course
(at St. Marks Hospital in Maidenhead) on preparation for childbirth and also provide post natal care.

Parenting Courses
The health visitors also run parenting courses for parents of the 0 to 6 years age group. This is part of a rolling programme with the other health visitors in Maidenhead. The course aims to help parents learn skills they could use to help their children grow into responsible adults and develop their full potential. Contact the health visitors for more information.
