Appointments

Our doctors prefer to see their own patients to give good continuity of care but you may consult any of them. Appointments can be made by calling in at the Medical Centre, by telephoning 01628 810242 or booking online.  If your appointment is not urgent, please ring after 11am.

A routine appointment is 10 minutes. If you think your problem is going to take longer, please ask for a 20 minute appointment. Please make it clear whether an appointment is required for more than one member of your family. This will assist in preparing patient records for the consultations and allocating the appropriate amount of time.

Telephone and Triage Consultations
Should you feel that a short telephone consultation with either a GP or a nurse would be helpful, we offer telephone consultations by appointment. We also operate a triage call system for urgent on the day calls. You can call the surgery and ask for a doctor to return your call and give advice. The doctor may recommend you attend the surgery after discussing your symptoms and will arrange that directly with you.

Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Running to Time
We do our best to run to time. If you want to discuss several problems with your doctor, please book a double appointment so that you don't keep other patients waiting.

Chaperones

If a doctor or nurse needs to examine you and you would like to be chaperoned, please mention this before the examination.

Do you need to see a doctor?

Please consider whether your problem or condition could be handled effectively by one of the other healthcare professionals in the practice, for example, the practice nurses.
