Welcome
to the Cookham Medical Centre
It
is our aim to provide the highest possible standard of medical care
for our patients. We treat everyone with respect and ask that you extend
the same courtesy to all our staff. Please notify the surgery if you
are unable to attend an appointment or if you change your name, telephone
number or address.
Annual
Report
We produce
an Annual Report which gives up to date information on practice activities,
including immunisations and cervical cytology screening. A copy is available
to read in the waiting room.
Vocational
Training for General Practice
Our practice
participates in the advanced training of doctors who wish to go on to
become General Practitioners. Please see the section about Trainees
for more information.
Computers
We have basic
patient details on our computer to make our records more accurate and
our administration and recall systems more efficient. We have summarised
the notes and encourage the elderly and patients with severe or chronic
disease to have a copy of this record at home in case of emergency.
Your medical records are of course just as safe and as confidential
as they have always been.
Car
Park
Please note
the car park is reserved for staff and patients of the Medical Centre
and for people using Pinder Hall. Parking spaces taken by shoppers means
problems for our elderly and disabled patients.
Facilities
for the Disabled
We have a
disabled parking space in our car park and access to the Medical Centre
by gentle incline. There is a toilet for disabled persons in the Medical
Centre.
